Brief Introduction to CMEI

China Medical Economic Information Network(CMEI) was established in 1993. Under the care and guidance of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, the State Food and Drug Administration, and the Ministry of Health of General Logistics Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, CMEI has covered all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government except Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan with joint efforts of pharmaceutical associations, pharmaceutical companies and pharmaceutical personnel across the country after the development for more than 20 years and has more than 1,000 network member units. It is one of the largest medical economic information and drug information service platforms in China. It has the most advanced drug data proofreading and retrieval system and drug standard library in China. CMEI adheres to the principle of "serving the country and the industry" and is committed to providing high-quality information consulting services for national policy formulation, government management decision-making, hospital pharmaceutical services, and industrial innovation and development. As the management unit of CMEI, the Science and Technology Development Center of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association will unite the majority of network member units to provide better and timely medical information services for the national medical and health institutions, and to make new contributions to the reform and development of the national medical and health undertakings and to ensuring the safe and rational use of medicines by the broad masses of the people.
